Flange Standards
The regularly used piping standards are:-
- ANSI B16.5 (American National Standards Institute)
- BS1500 (British Standards)
- API 6A (American Petroleum Institute)
(DIN Standards can be found along with other standards that are less commonly found).
Occasionally we may be required to assemble flanges with differing standards. If this is requested it is essential that engineering advice is gained before attempting to connect the flanges / joints together. Compatibility must be maintained to ensure integrity of the system.
Flanges are stamped to make the identification of the flange easier.
